No chip or tuning. $500 or more
No fuel upgrades $200-400 (injectors and pump)

Now it's $4500 vs $5000

No shaft support bearing ($300-500)

Now it's 5k vs 5k just to make the kit usable and maybe a little more reliable then it's 100% failure rate.

No intercooler. $1350+

Now it's $6350+ vs $5000

No headers. $650

Now it's 7k vs 5k...

...and guess what...

Still makes substancially less power across the board.

Still out run by a NA 3L.

Vorcrap is Vorcrap regardless of now selling less kit for more money.

Ya I hear ya, after some logic thinking and reading this I came to my senses. Like I said before, guess I keep saving for the SF....or 3L. Only problem is I would be a bit intimidated on the 3L and would end up paying alot more than I want for someone to install it.

Has anyone actually put a SF unit on an SVT?

I'd hate to spend $5000.00 to find out it was as bad as the Vortec...which I luckily didn't spring for.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but isn't the SVT compression a bit high for a Turbo....I know it's dicy with a super charger, or can you control things with the blow off valve???...as you can see I know very little about turbo's so I'll take the hits, hopefully to get some good answers.

Thanks

Mikey

thats interesting that a 3L would outrun a turbo 2.5 I think when my engine bumps out, i'd go 3L route. as long as i could get a reliable job done and make it last for 100k miles

I consider myself and Demon to be somewhat equal on the skill level of driving(I hope this doesn't insult you Greg)seeing as how we were running similiar times on our 2.5 setups with similiar mods.(He had more mods ie: headers, maf but I'm at sealevel...so it kind of levels the playing field)

My 107.56 mph versus Demon's 101.6 shows that his extensively modded 3L(nearly every bolt-on, plus his porting/tuning capabilities) is unable(at this point) to outrun a 2.5 turbo.....And rememeber Tom's went 109 mph with the 3L/turbo.

Demon also has gone 13.94 with a 2.17 60' time in really good air/weather....compared to my 13.51 with a 2.29 60' in good ol' south Florida air.

Now I'm not bashing or flaming, just "attempting" to state the differences between someone with exstensive knowledge of our platform and has potentially the strongest 3L on this site(I don't know the whereabouts of David Z's old engine)compared to a 2.5 with the Street Flight turbo, a 3" exhaust and 8 pounds of boost.

I'm gonna get a nice smack from Demon for this post, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents....
