Why? The compressed 0ga from Knu Konceptz is just that, except the two 4ga cables are already attached to each other, thus making install easier.

i bought the summit kit, but i would advise against any "kit," mine came with a lot of uneccesary stuff, especially if ur using a sealed battery like an optima.

Where did you buy distribution blocks and the inline fuse for the battery in the trunk? I haven't gone to Radio shack yet but after that I'm out of ideas

i checked radio shack when i relocated mine, but they dont carry either. I ordered mine from knukonceptz.com

What size fuse are you running in the holder?

You can pick one up at any car audio/video shop. I believe that Good Guys carries "monster" brand distr. blocks. Some larger Pep Boys' carry the "monster" stuff, too.
I got mine at a stereo place for $25+tax, IIRC.
FYI: My distr. block has (1) 2ga & (2) 4ga I/Os.
2ga to the trunk
4ga to the alt
The four (+)accesory leads I reduced into the other 4ga spot.
EDIT:
I'm running an inline 200A fuse just before the battery. Also have a kill switch (not installed yet).
A friend gave me the 2ga fuse holder + fuse.
FWIW, at Good Guys, the Monster Power 2ga fuse holder is $50. No clue what the fuse itself costs.

Instead of a fuse, why don't you guys look into circuit breakers? I have a 175A breaker and its perfect for when I need to do electrical work on the car. Just flip the switch and the battery is disconnected from the car.
