Hey, What do you guys think I should do about the stuff I just bought? I went a with a friend who said he could get some deals but I don?t if this is the stuff I should use to make it sound nice and clean with out breaking my wallet. I appreciate any help.
The Head unit I?m using is a Rockford Fosgate RFX9400 ?

What I bought the other day was a RF Punch 300X amplifier and set of Clarion 6.5 components (they have like an inline crossover-weird right?) and a set of Clarion 5X7s for the back doors and one 4-gauge amp kit. My total with tax was like 475 bucks. I?m wondering if I should get a different amp and diff speakers since I haven?t heard much about clarion speakers.

Basically I want to pay about 200 for and amp and 200-250 on speakers. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys.

No offence to anybody but id work on getting a better set of components. From my expiriences i can safely say -Clarion is junk-.

And, from my experience I'd disagree. Generally, I find their equipment to be of excellent build quality and better than average performance.

This is exactly the reason you need to head to the local car stereo shop, BB, CC, whatever and listen to everything you can. Find what YOU like. Everyone's ears are different.

Thanks guys, what about the amp. My concern is that its only 35 watts per channel @ 4 ohms. Now I know that it?s not that much But coupled with these speakers im wondering if it will be all right.
Please be brutally honest. I want a clean sounding system.

if youre worried about not enough power from a small amp , maybe bridge it to 2 channels to power your components? you could power the rears with the HU, which probably is what, about 22 watts? (dont know that model offhand)thats not too terribly much less than 35 watts when youre talking about your rear speakers, which you the driver wont be hearing much anyway. thats my 2 cents

hmm, thats an interesting idea. Im really thinking about taking back the stuff i just got and getting that US Acoustics USX4065 and Diff Components. Everyone is saaying how good it is.

Front Speakers: Crystal CSc60s or Crystal CSx615

Rear speakers: Crystal CXe510 or Crystal Csx510

AMP: Nakamichi PA-1004 or PPI PCX-440

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions. Is it hard to mount those crstals in the rear. or is it just like the fronts. will i have to build something for the backs.

the 6.5 won't just "drop in" but the 5.25 will. You can get the 5x7/6x8 for the easiest fit in the back.

But your not really worried about those anyway.
