A little background, car has had an extremely difficult time starting when cold lately.
Like,
EXTREMELY difficult. I'd swear the crank was broke or something...

Anyway, I get the cash together and call up Keyser at Streetflight (thanks man!), give him my codes and order a chip. Get chip, install 24pph injectors and chip. Clear codes and fire up - NICE! Runs so much smoother. Almost all low end stumbling is eliminated. They did an
excellent job with a mail order chip. I highly recommend Chris and Streetflight.
Problem is, car still has a hard time starting when cold so I'm like, hmmm, maybe I need a dyno tune.
As it turns out a friend of mine was following some threads in the SHO forums about an upcoming dyno day. She sends me the link and it's for a website called
Dynoperformance and the speed shop is
Xotic Motorsports. So, I sign up for both website and dyno day. Three pulls for $40. More for tuning purposes than bragging rights because I
knew something was definitely not right.
Well, results? 185 hp and 179 ft/lbs of torque. I'm down almost 20hp from my dyno last year and now I have a means for tuning this thing. WTF^^ mate?
In the mean time (i.e., between installing chip and dyno runs) my car had CEL's return so I had those read at the same time.
My car is running lean (?), at least the computer thinks it is, but my dyno is way past 10:1?
WTF^^?!?!!So I drop it off at my uncles shop yesterday to have a look at that and the oil leak (not even going there) and he thinks that there is a pretty massive air/vacuum leak fooling the computer into thinking it's running lean and causing the front bank to misfire.
Here's a link to my dyno graph and list of codes on that day:
WTF^^? So at this point I'm thinking saving up for a full 3.0L swap with a newer transmission (My synchros are SHOT - 122k miles on the original tranny) and pretty much
kinda following in "King Demons" footsteps.

Ok, a lot like.

And for those of you too lazy to click on the link:
(I know there's a lot of you out there.

I'm one of them usually.

)
Anybody with any (helpful) input would be appreciated.
