I searched and found a few nice things said about the 8" model. The one I am thinking about is the 15" version. Is this a good buy? What enclosure do you guys reccommend? I listen to mostly rock. The price right now is $58. Im thinking even if its not all that good, I wont lose that much cash anyway. All opinions appreciated. BTW, its gonna get about 200 watts.

It's actually a pretty good choice, especially at that price. It's very effecient as well, so the 200w would be more than enough.

I had the 8" and was impressed the output and response it had. I have read good things aobut the 15" version as it is very efficient. It just requires a pretty good sized box. If you can afford that space, go for it and let us know how it sounds.

The optimum sealed volume is 1.90 cubic feet, which is what I will use. Qtc is .707. F3 is 60.31Hz. Doesnt output go down below that point? For a 15, that sounds pretty high, or am I off base here? What kind of sound can I expect? dnewman04, Im gonna bug the heck out of you until I get a sub Im happy with

60 hz is somewhat high, and it will drop off at 12dB per octave below that point. Which happens to match the cabin gain pretty nicely, which raises at about 12 dB per octave.
The reason the F3 is high is because the sensitivity is high and the box size is relatively small. There is no such thing as a sub that is effecient, fits in a small area and has deep bass extension. Even so, this sub should get you down into the teens without much trouble.
