Playoffs aren't about pretty hockey - all that matters is goaltending and fighting for every corner, every loose puck, every turnover.
Flames in 7(maybe 6).
Remember, you heard it here first.
Bring on San Jose.

Well; the Wings did not deserve it. Other than the outstanding performance by Kujo--the Wings were not on top of their game. The Flames played excellent and deserve every bit of this win. Congrats Calgary; good luck in the next ground.

You've gotta be $hitting me, right? Hatcher throws the flying elbow to the head, and Calgary's the dirty team? You got your glasses on backwards.
In all my years of hockey, I can't recall a team that skated harder or faster than Calgary did in this series. Dude, your team got whooped, out skated, out hustled, out worked, and obviously...out scored. Plain and simple.

Read my post again. I said "THE FLAMES DESERVED THE SERIES" Meaning I agree that they outplayed detroit. On the dirty side Im talking about the constant intentional running at Kujo, the slashing, the constant holding the sticks, pulling jerseys, the slewfooting, the interference etc...

well now that the conference finals are set...
eastern conference should be a pretty good series....flyers are starting to in the groove and we shall see how tb handles that as they have had some time off....go flyers i guess....jr has real feel good story so naturally people want them to win....
calgary and san jose is gonna be ONE HELLUVA SERIES.....should be anyway....san jose is a solid team with a solid goalie...not only does nabokov provide an unbelielable job in goal but the defense doesnt lapse....they stay in the game and dont leave the slot open. two teams that have done this come to mind...first nashville, relied on vokoun....they are out....second, detroit....defense started to lapse last couple of games relied to much on cujo....out.....
but there is no one right who wants it more than calgary....this goes all the way back to feb 1...being a preds fan and watching that playoff race with the bottom 3 spots or so....i watched calgary play hockey for 2 months, not being a calgary fan....these kids have been playing unreal since the all star break and they just keep getting better....as we saw in the detroit series...it is no longer an iginla/kiprusoff thing....everyone is starting to step up....
the conference finals should be amazing....cant wait....
calgary vs philly in the cup finals.....my prediction....

I hope that your last prediction is wrong, I can't believe that SJ won the game. It will be a great series though Sutter and Kipper VS Wilson and Nabokov should be great.
Both teams want it, though I unfortunately have to agree with you that Calgary seems to be hungrier.

I'm going to pick the Lightning and Flames to meet each other for the Stanley Cup. Its not that I don't like the Sharks, haven't really seen too much of them, but we do know alot about the Flames. Whatever the case though, this is why the Stanley Cup is the hardest thing to win, period

Wow, Philly...you think? They lost every game to Tampa this year. I personally think it's their year.
I think Calgary / Tampa would be one fast paced series...too bad nobody outside the hockey world will care.
