vokoun gave a decently humble quote on espn.com saying that it is all about position and that the preds are doing a good job of not allowing him [vokoun] to get screened....he said if i can see it, i can stop it.....that he has just been in position all the time....which is true....if the red wings are getting desperate enough to not play their cross-ice, crisp pass style game and just start firing pucks when vokoun is gonna stop them, he might not stop all of them, but most goalies are gonna stop 96-98% of those shots.....

Please... nobody is whining or crying here. I'm just calling it like I see it. Besides, the Wings are BY FAR my least favorite of the 4 major sports teams we have here. So pardon me for peeing on your parade.

last night looked more like the redwings i know and less like the predators that have been playing the first four games (with the exception of period 3, game 1); result: red wings kicked our asses.....but i wouldnt count the preds out yet....home ice has proved very important this year in all series, and we have been in this position before, familiar territory for us....this is the kind of position and the kind of hockey we had to play for the last 3 weeks of the season.....i look for it to go seven games....but i dont look for the preds to win it though....last night was their chance and unfortunately they blew it.....
i like our chances though....this should be the first off-season where we dont dump 5-6 veterans for more rookies, it seems as though we are getting set now....rumors are the first thing that will happen after the playoffs is they will hammer out a long term deal for steve sullivan then everyone can go home for the summer....we come back next year and play with this kind of composure and dont lose those stupid games to the likes of the chicagos and columbuses of next year, we might be looking at 4th-5th place in the conference.....

I gotta say the Red Wings do Suck, but so does all Yankee hockey. Go Flames, almost to second round. Been a fan for 15 years so I don"t get to see the playoffs to often. Just one more and those conceited Canuks will be golfing.
