Dude, you're not one to be talking. When you first came on this site, you spouted so much BS it wasn't even funny, and you still do it sometimes. What mods have you done to your car recently that give you the position to say I should do the install myself? Sure, I COULD do it, but how many times do I have to say it? I AM NOT INSTALLING IT MYSELF. I DO NOT LIKE WIRING STUFF AND ALTHOUGH I DO WIRE STUFF SOMETIMES, I HATE DOING IT.
I didn't optimize the TB, I just put the optimized TB on, I also had a shop install the cam gears. Although I have done my suspension, installed my hood, and a bunch of other stuff, I don't do EVERYTHING. Most alarms aren't over $80. And install at CC is $120. That puts me at $200. Though I actually will probably get it done cheaper somewhere else.
If it's so easy, fun, etc. to do, then I'll give you $10 and you can install it for me.... though you'd probably fry my car.
AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS THREAD IS OVER.

Whoa I didnt see this crap eariler today or else I would have responded.

When I first came here, I posted some things that didnt make sense. But then again dont we all, come on you have almost 11,000 post in under two years ( which by the way is thousands ahead of anyone else), I'm sure a good amount of those post are BS.

Secondly most CRAPPY alarms are $80, you get what you pay for. Why sense your spending your hand earned money into an alarm you dont set the limit at $350 or so, then you know you will have a good product.

Finally I didnt say it was easy or fun to, I could do it though after all they come with instructions so if you can read them, then you can install it, so sure you come to Michigan and pay me a lousy $10 and within 3 hours I'll have installed and alarm for ya.

No, most of those 11k posts aren't BS, I just reply to the same stupid stuff over and over from newbies much like yourself. I also spend some time in CI and SE forum. Now before the forum change, I did have a good many BS posts, but those aren't part of the 11k, but who cares about how many posts someone has?
I'm sure you're the alarm expert,,, you've proven yourself knowledgeable many times before. Like I said, EVERY basic alarm with keyless entry, no matter what brand that I have priced is around $200 installed, which equates to about $80 for just the alarm (considering CC's install price of $120). Quit trying to argue that as obviously you have NO experience with pricing alarms.

I could install it myself if I wanted too. Like you pointed out yourself, I've done a lot more work myself than you have done. More than you probably can even think how to do. I also remember correcting you many times about various things, so I wouldn't trust you to do my work. I also recall you having the dealer do your brake work,,, why not just do it yourself? Really, brake work is a lot easier than installing an alarm. Get real and stop arguing for the sake of arguing.

I still wonder, do you (and others) now get the point that I AM NOT INSTALLING AN ALARM IN MY CAR. I'm not doing it because I don't want to, not because I can't. All I wanted to know was what a good brand of alarm was. But that didn't happen.

And argue with me after you actually do some real work to your car, McDonald's man. Russell can argue with me because he actually has done the work, he doesn't mine doing it and he can voice his opinion with something to back it up. You just sound like a hypocrite telling me to do it myself when you don't even do your own brakes.
