I know this has been asked before, but it's time to ask again, because I'm gonna get one now. I want an alarm that is the best for keeping theifs from getting my stuff for under $200 installed. I don't care if it has a 2 way pager or remote start, though of course those are nice. Starter disable would be nice though.
I just want a loud alarm and something guaranteed to go off and never have problems, etc. Features can be kept to a minimum, though if it has them and stays in the price range, then that's just icing on the cake. Also, should I have Circuit City do the install or a local place? Thanks in advance.

install it yourself, install is costly.

you can always make a ghetto one

wire the trunk/door switches to a wire and to the horn, if one opens the horn goes off, have a bypass switch hidden under the car

I have a Viper 350HV. It runs around $250.00 installed. I also had a digital tilt sensor added because of the whole ordeal with my last set of wheels. The tilt sensor was around $40.00 extra.

Its not that hard to install an alarm. If you have even basic 12 volt skills, you can do it. Just takes a little time.

So let me get this straight, you have done tons of mods to your car, like optimized the TB and adj. cam gears which sound hard to do yet you cant install an alarm?

Installation isnt cheap, like $175 at Best Buy just to install it, then you add the price of the alarm, soon your nearing $400.

If you only got $200 for an alarm you should save up till you get $400 or so, or buy one off Ebay and do it yourself it cant be that hard.
