Note: When you looking at the front of the engine normal crankshaft rotation is clockwise

You need to have some certain tools first off

You need a large socket and braker bar and a compression guage if you dont have those tools you need to find them.

First thing, even if you have an auto. put the tranny in NEUTRAL, and remove the key.

disconnect primary eletrical connection at the coil pack
remove the spark plugs and install a compression guage in the #1 cylinder

With the guage installed turn the crankshaft clockwise with the socket and breaker bar remember that you need to put the socket into the vibration damper bolt which is threaded into the front of the crankshaft
When the piston approches TDC it will noticeable on the guage. Continue to turn crankshaft until the keyway in the crankshaft damper is in the 11 o clock position and the notch is aligned with TDC mark on the front cover. Now the #1 cylinder is TDC, by the way if the marks were aligned but no compression was formed repeat the procedure as that was just an exhaust stroke.

Hope that helps ya out if you need anything else like detailed how to or whatever just let me know.
