I had something similar happen yesterday.

I was at the beer store getting a 24, and these two guys infront of me in the line were looking and commenting about my car.

guy1: yeah its like the SHO, Yamaha engine..
guy2: really? thats neat

I didn't hear the rest, I had to laugh cuz its not even an SVT. but it was nice to have people talk about it regardless

Yeah, these guys are really busy. I couldn't imagine them finding time for them to joyride. Besides, all the streets in the area are jammed with traffic. Stick shift cars would not be the ones to joyride.

Ditto,,, I don't even think that highly of my car (maybe I should?) but I get people wanting to drive it pretty often (unless of course they own something faster), and the few that have driven it seem to like it. The last person to drive my car was a girl at work,,, she tried starting it once it was already started. And you can definitely tell when my car is running... but it's cool cuz she helped me put my hood on.

my roommate was fired from his parttime job as a valet when he was busted joyriding through a huge parking lot here in orange county doing 50mph in a viper. he was fired on the spot. since then i watch valets like a hawk when i am forced to use one. and no, he NEVER drives my car.
