There's no differentiation between front/rear on a HU. A signal for "front" pre-outs will be identical as a signal for "rear" pre-outs. There's only a differentiation between right/left (stereo).

Run the patch cable to your amp and use a "Y" to split the signal to the front/rear pre-amp inputs on your amp. You can use the gain controls to set your front/rear fade.

This should help with both sound quality and the noise in your system.

And... I'd get that amp turned upright before you fry it. wink

A Y?
Does that convert to RCA to a 4 RCA?
That sounds like a good idea....
That may just do the trick smile
Now I just have to remove the miles of speaker wire I've buried along the passenger side smile

"Y" Adapter

Just pick up a pair. Should be self explanatory.

well, I think when I do decide to do it, the y split will work. Just have the left run the left front and rear, and the right run the right front and rear.
I'll lose fader control, but not balance...
Where would I run an RCA cable? On the right with the power cords, or on the left with the returning speaker wires from the amp????

To help avoid any kind of noise being picked up you should run it as far away from your power line as possible. So running it on the left in your case would be an excellent idea!

Run it on the left with the speaker wire. Ya never want to place patch cable near power cable of any sort.

BTW, you'll be able to adjust the front/rear fade with the gain on the amp. It's pretty much set it and forget it.
