You guys are starting to scare me away from the CSVT. Do they have a high comp ratio, is that why they require premium? I guess thats not a deal breaker though. Almost sounds like they are starting to fall apart? Im already and SVT owner, I have a 93 and an 02 Lightning and both have been trouble free so far. Would an extended warranty cover things like the dash pad, etc?
The Protege5 and ZX3 both have only 130hp (unless I get an 03-04 ZX3 with the 2.3l and 147 (?) hp) compared to the 200 in the CSVT. Plus the CSVT is more unique and less boy racer. I think the insurance is right about the same for the CSVT and Focus and the Mazda comes in just a bit higher, but I have to double check w/my agent.
But in reality do alot of the cars current problems come down to maintenance and driving histroy of the previous owners? Compared to just being "poorly" built? Arent these the same as the euro Mondeo, I thought the euro cars had good reliability ratings?
