I've got everything in now. The sound is amazing. The sub sounds like it's hitting so much better now too. I'm running it facing forward centered in the trunk. my my my
I need to tidy up in the doors, put in the dynomat and put the panels on tomorrow.

Couple of problems during the install though.
1. It's hard to keep the wires out of the way of the power window.
2. I put a couple extremly fine scratches on the glass. Do any of you know anything about how to buff those out.
3. Baffles for the mids were too big. The window nailed them.

I'll iron out the window clearance problem tomorrow as well, probably just have to tie some of the wiring down.

I'm beat.

I'll put pictures up and tell more tomorrow evening.

I'm going to bed

it looks sweet so far, i want to see some pics with the 'mat in there too! nice job bro

as far as glass scratches, maybe try some different approaches using windshield chip filler? youd need to be VERY careful though to avoid smearing it and even then, i m not sure it would work

How are the tweeters doing? I think of Morel of being in the sweeter mids and highs,,,,The midbass I had loved acoustic instruments,,,I never heard Morel tweeters in a car..

Well I ran out of daylight to get some pictures (I'll get them tomorrow, the panels are still off), but the sound is amazing. The shiva morel combo is perfect. I don't know if it's because I've been listening to the crappy ford speakers or what but I am extremely satisfied with this setup. Dave thanks for the recommendation on the morels. The tweeter is 8 ohm so I ran them bridged. This really brought out the sound in them. The clarity is amazing. blah blah

I'll get the pictures up tomorrow.

Oh yeah, thanks to devin and lee for helping out around the car.

Looks great and I am sure it sounds better. Just one question. Why did you decide to put the tweeters of the components under the mids instead of above?

the tweets required a little over 2 inches of depth, and the mid couldn't be mounted lower or i would have had to cut into the power window mech. it was all a compromise between fitment and placement in front of the grill (which i drilled out).

This is actually beneficial for two reasons. It keeps the tweets further from your ears, and the acoustic radiation pattern is tilted upwards slightly because of the orientation of the VCs. With the mid being higher and deeper the pattern is facing up towards the passengers.

When you say you bridged the tweeters, what did you mean by that?
