Ford's CD player has no internal amp for the Tours so anything with the CD player will have the external amp and therefore have the premium sound setup.
Interesting thing:
Leafing through a 1994 Car and Driver issue I came across the original preview drive of the Contour. It had a six speaker stereo. I was never aware that Contours had a tweeter in the front door. Do they? or was the test mule different?
Also, Dave, do 5x7s fit in the doors of the Contour? :p
