I've got the Conti Extemems in 215/45/17, bought em due to there high tread wear rating.

Had em since October. No snow here in Cali. They are good for the rain and dry traction is good, its no Summer season tire like the KDW but its a good tire for the money.

I considered the Nero but at over $100 more for a set of 4 I felt it wasnt worht it. The Conti Extreme is placed in 2nd position with the Nero being the favorite on the Tire Racks rating system.

If you want a 3-season tire check the Fuzion tire on TireRacks site, no reviews yet but bang for the buck looks good.
