The subwoofer you buy will determine the box you use.
Subwoofers are built for either ported or sealed boxes.
You have to match the box to the sub.

As far as the sound goes, go to a store like Best Buy, and pick out a sub and your amp,
and let them run it for you, off the sound board.
If it sounds good to you, it will sound good in your car.
The only difference is that your car has less AIR SPACE in it,
and the carpeting and seats will absorb some audio,
but the QUALITY of the audio should not change.
