Ok so when it rains really bad or I go through a car wash I get my TC and ABS lights on all the time. When I shut the car down and start it up(its been three days since it started) they do not come on until I go a few feet forward. Any ideas? This is on my 95.

i have had the same issue, but not in awhile
anyway there must be some exposed wires someplace or just a problematic sensor
as I recal the tc/abs doesn't set a code or did I miss something?

Yes, the ABS thing sets code. Like if a wheel speed sensor was bad it would throw that code for it.

but do you get the codes for the abs system the same way you would get it for a cel? I know on the 95's there is a seperate port under the hood that i beleive is for the abs system
because once after this happened I tryred to pull codes, like you would for a cell and didn't get anything

yes you have to have abs to have tc, at certain speeds the tc will either adjust the throttle or use the abs to control the wheel spin, so if abs goes so does tc
I have found that both have been very helpful in winter driving, plus I hate having warning lights on, my 99 was pissing me off with the cel for the dpfe, and the low gas light annoys me also...

Ok I don't get a CEL, its just those things lighting up. Its a OBD 1 car so I have to do that jumper whatever thing to check the code. Anyone know how to do that? I like ABS in the rain and snow. It's more that I don't want the lights on.

I just bought a 95 LX V6 and I am having the exact opposite problem. Neither the TC light or ABS light ever come on. It's been rainy every day since we've bought it and I am having some "strangeness" with the TC. When I drive it for a period of time and then park it and come out a while later, the TC kicks in as you try to pull out. Sometimes you can push the TC OFF button and it will stop but not always. It scarted the hell out of me the first time it did it. It just does it the first couple of time you are lifting on the clutch and pressing on the accel. pedal. Anybody have a clue? I am also taking it this weekend to get the CEL codes pulled as I also have an intermittant CEL could these issues be related? I wouldn't think as the CEL goes on and off going down the road.
Thanks Guys,

BTW: Love the site! Found all kinds of excellent info so far!!!
