went at about 90K for me, had it rebuilt for 200 amp output

mine has 32k on it and when i mash on the pedal my battery light comes on aroung 4000 rpm. seems like the alt to me.

replaced brushes @ 60k and the alt @ 71K. after the brush replacement, noticed there was a large groove worn on the alt. shaft. This was from one of the brushes. Before i replaced the alt the battery light would blink around 5k..

Well my first alternator failed at around 85K and the light now is coming on when I rev past 5 or 6 thousand so I'm sure a new alternator is in my future. Does anyone offer lifetime alternators (Firestone, Midas, Meineke, etc.) Can't wait for another $400 bill for that.
