Have you tried using Nero to burn? It's a much better program.
In fact u may want to use three digits 001, 002... since you can fit over 100 mp3's on one cd.
I was basing my assumption on that he was burning albums/CD's to cd so you owuld not have more then 99 tracks on most normal CD's and you would seperate by folders before you get to track names.
I typicaly burn like this. (each level is a folder until the last that would be a file)
Artist -> Album -> Track
Beaten - 2003 MazdaSpeed Protege 29K <- broken hearted
Daily/Weekend Beater - 1990 miata 138K - AutoX every weekend = Adult driven on weekends
