I can't remember where I read the 1 2 3 tip, but I just live with my mp3 disks in alpha order rather than rename them every time I want to make a disk. Just press random when you're tired of knowing what's coming next.

Intersting. I use Ex Cd to rip mp3 cd's (and .wav cds). No matter which file I drag it records in that order. Hmmmm maybe the antique version being used has something to do with it (?)

Does your player read playlists? My portable will by default look for playlist (.m3u) files first. Create a playlist using whatever player software you have and burn that, too, and *if it's supported*, it'll order files based on that.

Otherwise, just hit random play on all folders and let the player surprise you.
