You mentioned it being the only car in 04 to have blue tooth...nope. I know the new S4 does.

I think the Acura TL is a VERY nice car; it certainly gives folks a moment of pause when looking at BMW 3-Series and the MB C-Class lineup, as well as other imports (Lexus and Infiniti)...
I haven't driven one as of yet, but just from looking around a few of them and "kicking the tires", it's probably one of the best thought-out and most technically-advanced vehicles in the $30K+ price range, bar none.
It's got it all; looks, power (from what I hear), sophistication, more gizmoes than you can shake a stick at (which makes me a little concerned about repair costs when the warranty is up), but it's missing one single thing that is keeping me from considering one:
RWD.
I just can't get over it anymore. It's a childish stumbling-block of mine, but dammit, I'm sticking by it!
I've been considering a bevy of sedans for purchase; the TL hits absolutely the top of my list EVERY time, but it gets shot straight to the bottom because it's FWD. For all it offers in comparison to a MB C32 AMG, Cadillac CTS-V, Infiniti G35 and a BMW 5-series (rock-bottom of the list due to looks ), it's the price-performing, best "bang for the buck" car out there and one of the best looking of the bunch, too.
If Acura simply would put it in a RWD flavor, I'd jump on it in an instant over any other car out there today. I can afford a lot more than it, but value and price-performance means a HELL of a lot more in my book than the "prestige" factor, as I don't like sinking any more money than I have to in an asset that depreciates like a ROCK over it's useful lifespan...
If Acura had only put the drive-wheels on the back of that puppy. [sigh]

Not sure what "true dual power seats" are. But I've only got driver's side power, so it's moot.
And, dude, you're taking my posts WAY too personally.
I know your car is better, I've said your car is better. The interior better look better, it costs $13,000 more.
That's not to say that I don't like the Mazda6's. It's not as busy because there's not as many gadgets to control, but is extremely well-designed, and looks very good.
I like your cluster a lot more than the oft-touted Mazda6 electro-luminescent gauges, which are NOT designed for people who drive with headlights during the day on like I do. I have to turn the brightness up so bright to see te gauges during the day that I get blinded by them at night. I also don't like to 100% red scheme the 6 has.
Dude...You are also taking this wayy to seriously...I mean you should have just put the right after you asked how many cell phones have blue tooth...
Beating a dead horse...

James,
I would love to see RWD in the TL just as much as you, but with you having the Corvette for 'those days', does the RWD factor really play THAT much of a role in your car shopping?
IMO, I think you'd barely drive the 'vette if you got a CTS-V.

Like I said, it's a quirk on my part, but one I'm standing by. I really enjoy a RWD vehicle, as my tire expenses can attest to.

That's what my wife it trying to convince me of, since she's twisting my arm for "little JaTo's".
A Corvette and a baby seat just doesn't work too well, from what I've been told, though I'm fighting it every step of the way....

My pick for Mr. JaTo, Mrs. JaTo and 2 little JaTos'.
I've driven a lightly modified version of the little gem above, and it was one helluva experience. Even a 540i is an outstanding performer.
In regards to the CTS-V, I'm really vary of Caddy build quality and resale.

If they look anything like the new 5-Series, it's a no on my part. I'm not fond of the new design at all, though things do change.
I couldn't stomach paying upwards of $70-80K for a car, either. Too rich for my blood, though I won't deny dreaming of a 470HP E-39 done by Dinan ever since I heard about them...

Caddy build-quality (sans the Catera ) has been very good from what I can tell. Resale? That's another story altogether...
I do believe I'm going to wait a spell before jumping into a CTS-V whole-hog. I've learned the hard way to never again buy a 1st model year vehicle...

The M5 and 540i...
I was mainly talking about the pre-Bangled ones. a 10k mile CPO Bimmer is just broken in.
Simon's (fst4dr) dad had a 4 year old STS, and man, body panels inside were falling off! Thank goodness that Northstar V8 made up for all that.
