3/4" MDF, liquid nails, table saw, jig saw, circle scriber, measure once, measure twice, measure three times...
Also, make sure your box will fit through the opening before building it.

Don't cut off your fingers!  I make a scale drawing of the box together and then of all the pieces apart with the measurements next to them. Then, I determine the best way to cut the pieces out of the sheet of wood. But thats just me, I'm silly that way. I've still got drawings of boxes from 7 years ago.
