IMHO RF = over priced for their quality RF = good price for power Good compromise between SQ and SPL for road cars. I like a couple of their products alot, but a big disappointment over more of their products. Relaibilty on some of their speakers is questionable. And the quality of some crossovers and EQ are less than par.

There has been debates for years on directionality of cables on www.audioreview.com. I just cant see how a cable made of copper, silver, or whathaveya can have a different molecular structure when the current goes one way than the other way. I would think that teh only thing would be some kind of grounding that specifies that direction. unless there is a box like MIT has in its cables, I dont see why the directionality.

Actually, you can have directional wire. But it's expensice, like $50/foot, and its meant for small current applications ( >1mA ). So its not practicle for car audio.

Sony always has been better than kenwood and probably always will. The only decent stuff kenwood makes is there high end stuff which is expensive and could be invested in better products elsewhere.

How phunny! JAX I work at Best Buy too! Supervisor in car audio. Did you put the kenwood's in a sealed or BP enclosure? We found the kenwood's sound decent in a sealed and the Sony's sound decent in a BP.
Way cool PM me

Actually, directional performance is very possible. You don't even need to be confused about the way it works with silver/copper/etc. High-Powered RF radars use a device called a "waveguide" and a "multiplexer". They are hollow, rectangle pieces of copper(like a copper tunnel) that the wave travels down. It is possible to make the RF wave travel across the multiplexer in one direction, but be diverted to another path in the other direction... Now THAT tripped me out, when I first learned of it.. (Yes, I know.. useless info, and WAY off topic, but it is 4:15AM.... so.. can you blame me? ) Ray

Actually, directional performance is very possible All speaker cables and RCA cables for audio are simple strands of oxygen free copper, silver, etc, that are wrapped at right angles to minimize interference with each other (some have very fancy jackets). In the audio industry there is rampant "snake oil" sales tactics with claims that are never proved. Directionality in your everyday cable makes no sense. again,,unless there is something on the cable like MIT where if you reverse tha cable you reverse whatever that box does (maybe)!, ((which is time align the low and high freq), they say they travel at different speeds) thru the cable..)
