John, I have to change my recommendation after further review...sorry!

Morel MW-166 (4 ohm variety) rather than the Hi-Vi

Ok, I'll check that one out. I wasn't going to order any speakers untill this weekend when I get a chance to pull the door pannels apart first hand.

Reading about audio stuff while looking like working rules.

Dude that reading on crossovers at the parts express site answered so much. Maybe it's because I've been reading this stuff for the last couple of days. But I got it now. Oh man the wheels are turning...

I checked Parts Express and the Morel home page for the Morel MW-166. I didn't see it at Parts Express and there was only an 8ohm one at the Morel site. If you run across it again flow me the part number from parts express so I can check out the specs.

Checked that link, and the link to the morel site from there; there is no mention on the Morel site of that woofer being offered in 4 ohm. What do you think?

I'd call Madisound. They say they have a 4 ohm version. See if they can confirm that.

WhiteSE, shouldn't you be in the garage putting in those vifas?

Called Madisound they are offered in 4 ohm.

So here it is, JBL P80.4, Morel MW166 4 ohm mids, Morel MDT39 8 ohm tweets. Still looking into the crossover specs. I got off work early today so I'm gonna pull the door tonite, if I'm gonna have enough room I'll place the order tonite.

JBL P80.4 $130 from ebay
Morel MW166 $81.05 x 2 = $162.10
Morel MDT39 $39.65 x 2 = $79.30
Total not including shipping xover parts and wire = 371.4
way under my budget sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

I have no Garage, and its raining, and my personal installer is out sick, so I may have to wait till wed, unless I loose patience and try to do it myself during the weekend,,,problem is that I have no tools really....I think that placing the tweeter on the center if the midbass is the way to go...

or i may go to another installer,,,I am bloody impatient,,,!!!

PS: How about buying my Morels for 50 bucks...they are brand new..
