This appears to be basically the same as the cheep Walmart Jacks. I actually would recomend you look for a long travel version of this jack. The one I have was something like $10 more than this one but it's lift range starts lower and finishes higher. That makes it much more versitile. I think mine is something like 4 1/2" to 17"
