Yeah, it's got a Hemi. I'm actually interested in this one. Lately I have been thinking of a G35, GTO, Evo, or STi, but I think the Magnum has a different kind of appeal. I've always liked Sports Wagons (A4's), and the Magnum is unique from the crowd. Granted, I'm no fan of slushboxes. Family will likely be a concern a year or two into ownership. Right now, the Fiance has a Grand Cherokee, so we do have a family truckster in the stable.

All the same, I'm looking forward to driving one soon. What's everyone think?

WEll, having seen a couple up close and in person, I don't know if I would personally classify it as a sport wagon. It's most definitely bigger than a A4, which could be either good or bad, depending on how important vehicle size is. That being said, I really the looks of them myself. I think it's a love it/ hate it design though. I'd also give it a year or more before buying one if possible ti get away from as many new vehicle glitches as possible.

Agreed, never buy a first year car (I have a first year Tour...)

Give it one year on the market then see. Plus when they're new like that and popular they sell at higher than retail.
I think it's a good looking wagon! I wonder about it's MPG though. Dodge doesn't excel in that area.

I would buy one in a heartbeat if I had the money for it. I can't wait to see one of those modified.

Love the 300C, don't like the Magnum. I'll be shocked if it sells well. But, if they come out with the Charger like they're talking about...

Some Tech:

3 engines: 2.7 and 3.5 V6 and 5.7 V8. 190, 250, and 340 (I think) HP respectively.

Won't have Manual, yet. Only 4 or 5 speed Auto with Manumatic on the 5.

Will have an AWD option in Fall.

And might have a feature that will only fire 4 of the 8 cylinder on the V8 on light load for gas mileage.

0-60 6.3 on the Hemi.

Make mine a Hemi with 18" and factory Supercharger.

I like it! I think it's got a lot of potental. Fully dressed it's a little over 2 tons so it's not going to corner like an ice skate but I bet you could make it do a straight line petty quick!

SRT-8?

i like the magnum, though i like the concept version w/ the huge wheels much better than the production versions that'll most likely carry much smaller rolling stock. i kinda lost interest when i found out the hemi wouldn't be available w/ a stick. not that i was surprised by that fact, mind you - just that it would've been a nice gesture that might've held my interest in the car.

i have to admit to being appreciative of the development of a modern station wagon, though - sport wagons rock, and hopefully people will start buying those and less SUV's. not that i'm an SUV-basher, of course, considering i owned one for the last year and 3 months....
