At the wrecking yard I noticed a resistor on the fan shroud casing on the drivers side about 4 inches from the actual fan. Is this resistor for the low speed operation of the fan? Do contours have a low speed function for the radiator fan? If so maybe this is why our fans don't seem to turn on until the a or l of normal on the temp gauge because maybe the resistor is burned out. I haven't actually checked a wiring diagram to see if this is true but if it is we should start checking those resistors to see if they are burned out. Anyone want to verify/deny this?
