I hope you know that this guy who did this to his car, wasted a butt load of money on a brand new car that comes with a realy nice supercharger on it. I was reading an issue of 5.0 Mustang magazinge, the issue had an `03 Cobra on the front. I read the article with the featured car on the front. It was an `03 Cobra that was totaly stock accept for a diffrent sized pulley and an inter cooler kit. They dynoed it after the modifications it came out with 603rwh and 600ft lbs of tourque. Now, what do you think the moral of the story is?. . . .

I know someone who has an '03. His dynoed in at 400hp/tq and all he had was a CAI, exhaust (cat-back) and a shifter.

is there any way you could find out what issue that was in i am interested in reading that article. i find it kind of hard to believe that those were the only upgrades to the car. cause i have read numerous articles on the 03/04 andseen numerous cars on the dyno and none get that big of a boost with only a pulley and ic upgrade. plus there is another 03 in this monts MM&FF that is insanely moded with a Kenne Bell and just about every other part you can think of on it and it put down 659hp and 615tq.

That's a far cry from "totally stock" my friend.

I think you hit it right on the nose!

For the record, I wouldn't trade a roots type for a centerfugal either.

Now I would replace my roots for a twin screw. Just waiting for Kenne Bell to release their 2.4L twin screw...

Why not get a Lysholm supercharger-
yeah they cost an arm and a leg- but they are the most efficient and give the best hp of any supercharger.

(for all I know the kenne bell is a lysholm type- im not sure)

The KB is a lysholm type...

With equal drivers, my car with a Kenne Bell would kick his ass on a road course. I bought my car because of the wide powerband.

some company out of california that "ports" the roots type supercharger on the cobra, and for like 400 dollars and core charge, it is giving gains of like 50 hp....dont know if that is crank or wheels, but still a nice mod....retains that stock type quality.....well, at least it looks stock from the outside.....
