ok I have a 99 Contour LX power windows and locks. I cant seem to get the damn panel off so I can install my new speakers. I got all the screws out its the door handle and window switch how do i remove the plastic piece around it.. I did this w/ ease in my tempo but it had crank windows and dint have power locks...

There is a screw behind a plastic plug in the cavity for the door lever (also one in the plastic cover for side mirror defrost vent). Pull out this screw, then to remove the panel simply pull it up and out, as it kind of tucks behind the window slot.

Another way is to break all 4 like I did Now I have to find 4 new ones. I couldn't figure how to pull them out w/o breaking. If you can't figure it out, go to a car audio store and ask for help, some mite do for free. Even if you have to pay $10 , it'd be worth it. Use a knife with a narrow end for removing all plastic caps in car.

thnx for your help got all 4 speakers installed couldnt get the fronts off so i went to ford they showed me what to do and i got it rite off. Of ocurse in the process i lsot one of those little caps and 2 washers. But besides that my 4 new infintys was a nice install
