I am just at a loss why Ford decided to design the power seat so there is no way to get the seat belt torx bolt out? (See Pic)

In red is the torx bolt I need to pull and in Yellow is some sort of welded bar that gets in the way of putting the torx bit in. I have moved the seat in multiple directions with no luck. So how the heck did Ford assemble the seat in the first place?

I have done a search to no avail. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated in getting that POS out.

Have you taken the seat out of the car? My seat is out of my car and didn't have a problem - I have a SVT so i'm not sure if my seats are designed differently but i'm sure the bracket part is the same.

I was trying to avoid taking the seat out of the car, even then I don't see how that would help get access to the torx bolt. All that metal is welded together.

that bolt has a thick enough head that you can get a visegrips on there to back it out. that's how I did mine. That bolt is a "threadcutting" bolt, and will have some resistance to it.

Well I pulled the seat hoping that would help, but it did not. I have tried the vice grips but all they do is go around the head of the bolt. They seem to not get enough friction to hold. So I am trying to figure out how to dissasemble the seat enough to get it.

Will removing that silver ring (in the red box) cause that piece to slide out? If that happened I would have enough room to get the bolt out.

Does the bar that the Blue Arrow points at move the seat up and down. There is some sort of motor (See Yellow Arrow) that must do something, I am not quite sure what. If the seat did move up and down in the rear or some direction to get that piece out of the way.

Again, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

make sure the teeth on the visegrip jaws are clean & sharp. I had to really clamp on tight to loosen the bolt, but it did work. Can't help with the other part of your question.
