I think you can hold the crank pully in place w/ a breaker bar or something like that. I don't think he's BSin' you.

Correct (at least for the Duratecs, yes. I don't know of any instances in which Ford uses a MAP, so I'm ~99% sure I'm correct) ...but I could be wrong.
