Lets hear some storys. I once got pulled over by jfco sheriffs, going down I-70 by c-470, in a snow storm. He comented on how he almost went off the road two times, and asked me how I got down in one peice. I replyed "um nascar training." anyways, he got angry, and I got a ticket. Over driving the conditions. but anyways, lets hear 'em.

pssst! We have a CO state trooper amongst us...let's keep it polite.

Here's a story anyhow -
About two months into my first year of school up there, I was heading through Boulder to pick up a friend and head to NM for a long weekend.
I was in line to turn right on a red. (28th & Baseline) Cop behind me, Maxima in front. Maxima turns, I come to complete stop, I turn, I get pulled over. I was thinking I had a turn signal out or something.

Cop says, "Did you not see the sign that says 'NO TURN ON RED' or what?"
I said, "No, I didn't. I'm not from here (check the NM plates!), I go to school in Greeley, and I don't know the town. Besides, the guy in front of me did the same thing!?!"
Cop says, "Yeah, I was going to pull him over, but you were closer. I"ll be back with your ticket."

I understand that I did something wrong, but I still feel that he could have cut me a break. It's not like I was being deliberately disobedient. If I saw the sign, and was stupid enough to disobey it with a cop right behind me, then I would have deserved the ticket... But, G*dd*amn, give a kid a break!

I've been pulled over 3 times in my life.
The first time was in Littleton for going 33 in a 25 school zone. I somehow got a warning.
The second time was on 34 for expired plates. The patrolman was polite but gave me the ticket. I swore that would never happen again.
18 months later, (last New Year's Eve) I got pulled over in Fort Collins for...Expired plates . It was 11:30pm and I think he was hoping I had been drinking. Well, I hadn't had a drop all night and I think that made him mad, so he was very rude the whole time. Of course that particular night, not only were my plates expired, but I hadn't changed my address on my license from when I moved AND I didn't have my current insurance card . I think he took pleasure nailing me for all those . We barely made it to our party before midnight.

On the other hand, my wife was pulled over for 45 in a 30, and the sheriff who pulled her over was very polite and gave her a warning. I guess I need boobs?

I could use a set of those, too. Not sure if they would have helped me with my teen-aged speeding tickets, but they sure would be fun to have around just for the heck of it.

The only ticket my dad ever recieved in Colorado was for crossing the double yellow line while taking a curve. I guess it was a slow day.

I was on my way from Denver to Ft. Collins following my best friend. I have never been there before. I suddenly saw some headlights catching up on my really fast and then some police lights. I looked down at the speedo and was only going 70, and as I slowed down I passed a speed limit sign that said 75, so I couldn't figure it out. The cop gave me a ticket for following too closely. I had no idea you could get a ticket for that. Then I screwed up and when i read the ticket I thought I had like 2 months to pay it (I really had like a couple weeks...the 2 months was for court) So I sent the payment in late, and then got a letter back saying it had been denied and there was a warrant for my arrest! That was like the day before I was leaving the country to go on a mission for my church (not secret mission...prostelyting (sp)...so it is actually knd of funny, but I left some money with my parets to just pay the fine.

Got pulled over for making to quote the officer "a left turn where I wasn't supposed to," but in all actuallity I was coming back from picking up my Ma at DIA and construction was going on in Brighton and I accidently turned on to the construction entrance and in getting out caught the cops attention and she pulled me over. That was the first time I had ever been pulled over and I was shaking so bad!! And then when I tried to explain what I did she was like well I saw you make a left to a road that was no left turn, and my mom and I were like WTF, we went down the wrong way. Anyways I got let off with a warning and she said she could have given me two tickets for not having proof of insurance and making a quote illegal left. Stupid [censored]!

Then when I got in my accident the Ft. Collins cops were total dickwads. They didn't even get my story until the hospital at the same time they were presenting my my ticket for not being able to complete the turn while the light was green. And to make matters worse they didn't even verify the other guys speed the just took his word that he was going about 2 mph over(which if you look at the pictures is complete Bullshiat!) Oh well live and learn! I hate Ft. Collins popo's but the "CHiP's" aren't too bad.

PS who is the colorado patrol person in here, just curious.
