if u add the amp, your speakers will be louder cuz there's more power. (obviously) u can get some cheap amps, i cant think of any of them though. any amp that runs 50-100wattts x4 will do just fine
I most certainly agree with you! After I had installed the speakers I was begining to feel good about the sound, it certainly blew the stock PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM[heavy,heavy sarcasm!] away. Then I installed the amp. While setting in the car sweat soaked from head to toe, blood flowing freely from my numbed fingers a smile began to come upon my face. If I were asked to help do this job on another Contour would I do it? HELL NO!!! But I am glad now that I done it to mine. Now all I need to do is construct some sort of amp rack and get a real nice enclosure for the Lambda. In my mind these should be far easier jobs to perform than what I've already been through, but that remains to be seen.
