Thanks to everyone for the replys. I had the transmission fluid changed recently, it wasn't that bad. I am not getting any CEL codes either. The problem seems to be getting worse. I will try the valve body thing.

The car does not slip in reverse. I am familiar with the bang shift thing, it happened on my other Contour,I looked at the Ford Mondeo site, and it said something about a "Multiplug" on the transmission. Do the Contours have these?
