2. I obviously stand corrected on the RPM piece. You must have a LOT of rabbit feet hanging from your rear-view mirror if you didn't crap out the other spinning components in your engine bay. I know raising my rev limiter on my '89 SHO cost me more grief than I could afford at the time in terms of just about everything that had a pulley on it...
1. No you are very corrrect. The parts are much more uniform in weight, grain pattern, and consistency.
2. P/S is underdriven about 20% and alternator almost 15%
They have been that way almost as long as I have owned the car.
P/S because it is the largest parasitic drag and alternator for longevity.
