What the hell's your problem, Harden? For crying out loud. I'm surprised you didn't get your CEG account pulled for such outrageous bombast. What kind of a looser are you? Were you over-served at the sarcasm bar? Sheesh!! And I resent being called a "yokel" you jerk.
Give Silversnake his due. He wrote a nice reply, and sounds like a very nice fellow. A bit testy at times, but nice nonetheless. It's a good thing he clarified working for Brembos, since people are taking what he says seriously. If he wasn't qualified, then thousands of people who read this board and trust us all to get to the bottom of these complex automotive issues could potentially be placed in danger by an incorrect answer served up by an unqualified stoop. It's a higher calling and I think it's important to keep everyone honest.

Oh yeah, back to this ideot. Why ask such a dumb question? Everybody knows the difference between stress cracks and regular cracks. Stress cracks happen when there is too much force pushing or pulling on some piece of equipment. There is too much force and it gets a stress crack. Duh, from the stress!
Regular cracks happen when you are bending something back and force many times. There's not enough stress to make it crack, but there is enough bending to make the crack happen after some time. How much time depends on the number of bendings placed on the equipment. I think any brake expert would back me up on this. Rara? Silversnake? Anyone?
I'm exhausted. It's not easy setting people straight. Bud Miller
