1 1/4" Tweeter located high on door
(as close to chin level as possible)
6" x 8" Two-way in rear doors with 1/2 the power
(i.e. if front is at 75W then rear at 35W or 40W)
Also these should be angled to point as close as possible to the center console.
Just curious on the size selection of the doors and kick panel. I assume that the 6.5" driver in the doors would be for ease of installation? An 8 will fit without major mods, and provides better bass response.
A 4" should have better off axis response, in general, than a 5.25". The 5.25 will allow a lower crossover point than the 4" to keep the point source goal intact by keeping the speakers withing 1/2 a wavelength of the crossover freq.
1.25" tweeter is interesting only because I have not seen one before. I am looking for something along these lines because it should allow me to use a lower crossover point because of the lower fs. I have some 8s that don't have a lot of upper midrange extension.
