Antiramie, Yes i did mean "league" sorry for the spelling, what you should of read is: a defensemen often gets "poked" sp?? especially so if he is a good one and the other player cannot get in front of the net to receive the puck and score, alot of times that defensemen will cross check, slash, or which ever you want.

csc99svt, i think i do get your point, it was useless violence but the fact of the matter is that there was always violence in this game, even more so today. I called one of my hardcore hockey friends and asked him about it, and he was telling me that the situation is getting out of hand and that the league needs to do something fast before someone does get killed or seriously injured.
