When I drive my contour, there is a constant rattling/squeeking in the driver's side door. The squeeking sounds like the kind of chirp that a cricket would make. I have taken the panel off and I still cannot find the source of it.

If it's the front door [back door...you might let somebody go with you, for safety reasons], try applying a little pressure to the handle/window switch area, while driving, and see what that does. I created that problem when I replaced my speakers. You may have a different problem than I did, but that's where my noise was coming from. I fixed it with a little bit of silicone paste at the pivot points of the handle.

Are you suggesting that the problem is in the panel of the door?

I answered this at length, yesterday...maybe you saw it? I saw it, yesterday, but it's gone, now, for some reason.

Shortened version: My problem was at the door handle. Pushing on the panel at that point caused the noise to vanish, so I was able to trace it to the plastic pivoting junk at the handle, inside the car.
