Dudes, once again your advice has been greatly appreciated. I will proceed with squandering my money and buy the PS2, new speakers, amps, subs and HU. Peace-dave

Do you need the versatile-link box or are the inputs on the unit itself? Also how do you activate that input, using the source button or is there a way to select it automatically (trigger wire)?

I love my gamecube over any other video game system. Off subject, but had to be said. Just tired of everyone having PS2

Yea.. the Gamecube is a great gaming system. Nintendo has done a terrific job. Buttttttt the games out for the Gamecube just dont compare to the PS2s selection. Consoles like Xbox and Gamecube just dont get all the games that are licensed specifically to the PS2, and those games are usually really good ones.

Slowly but surely that is starting to change. Square is making games for Nintendo again, and Gamecube gets games PS2 and XBox never will, Nintendo's own games, Rare's games, and all future Resident Evil games are going to be exclusive to the Gamecube. Don't get me wrong, I would be a fool to say the PS2 isn't any good, as it is an awesome machine, but with the Gamecubes $150 US price and it's exclusive library, added to the fact that I can only afford one system at a time, means no PS2 for me Actually right now I have no GC either BTW the Gamecube would fit into a dash with some modification, and it would look damn awesome!

You would need the VL box. You activate the input through the mode button, then turning the Aux input on. With it on you can turn de-select it by hitting the source button. One activated the source button will cycle through radio, cd, vcr, game, and something else I think... I would run out to the car to look but it's 30 feet away and I'm a lazy ass
