good thought....i've always liked those old-style pathfinders, though i'd probably stick w/ a truck just for the utility factor....and i remember the baja-looking one BMR is referring to. <off to check autotrader again...>

yeah, perhaps. i've heard on more than one occasion that the 4-cyl ranger w/ a manual tranny is the single most reliable ford vehicle built in the last 10-15 years, and that would definitely satisfy the "need" portion of this little endeavor of mine. would rather find a 4wd V6 version to play with, but a ranger is definitely something i'll consider. i had briefly thought about those the other day but hadn't gone very far with it....
