I hit the 30k miles turbo mark yesterday. I dyno'd out at 260hp and 240 tq at 2900rpms on 8 psi. That is also with over an official 1000 dyno runs on that motor. 139 NA and 867 turbo. You would think the motor is getting tired by now.

I really am not that knowledgeable on the subject so please excuse my ignorance. But what would cause that and is an aftermarket crankcase breather a possible solution? I'm trying to figure out what those breathers do. Thanks.

Ring blow-by

He hand honed the damaged cylinders and used low tension rings.


Blow-by is 100% lost power.


2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

Inadequate or malfunctioning PCV system can cause the same symptoms as well.
