Yeah, that's BS. Fight it to the death. File a complaint on the cop (after the court hearing of course). Who cares if that goes on his record. It deserves to, that's the point of filing the complaint. Ooo I better stop being anti-cop.
He has a legitimate beef with the officer. You were just being a punk, failing to own up to your actions like a man.

In retrospect, it was all downhill from here. RIP, CEG.

But there's a good chance that he, or a judge, will agree, see that it is a simple misunderstanding, and throw the ticket out, or at the least take the points away.
If he actually appears. Here they oft don't, so you Win.

LOL, yeah even though I said I admit I was speeding and I'm gonna handle that, etc. Though the cop did blind me with a spotlight and actually make my drive home more unsafe than it had been. And people were jumping my case before I even really complained about that. Ya'll are probably the biggest bunch of hypocrites though and you'd be doing the same thing if you were in my shoes. ... Failing to own up to my actions would be saying I'm gonna go to court and plead not guilty (not doing that),etc. Anyways, if ya'll are serious, you're very funny and thanks for the laughs.

Dude, are you still going on about that whole spotlight B.S.?
Get over it already.
Talk about failing to own up to your own actions, you still haven't gotten over such a juvenile thing.

Failing to own up to my actions is not the same thing you're talking about. Nope, still haven't gotten over it. And I won't until April 23rd when the court date is. Only reason I brought it back up because I figured someone would say something about me being anti cop if I posted in here so I went ahead and said it for them. Doesn't seem that everyone else has gotten over it either. It's still funny to me how some people act when it's not them in a situation.......

You'd never see anyone here commenting on it, because nothing that happened to you was anywhere near out of the ordinary. It was everyday run-of-the-mill traffic stop for someone caught going almost 20 over the limit.
Kokopellian on the other hand, was pulled over for merging into a lane he was entitled to enter, and by not allowing him to merge the cop was actually breaking the law himself.

Actually if you want to argue on the side of law. He had reached the right hand turn only lane by the time the cop came up on him. So legally, he was supposed to turn right. Now morally and because of the miscommunication the officer is considered wrong. I was not disagreeing with kokopellian situation and I was supporting him, our two situations are different. Yeah my traffic stop was run-of-the-mill, but if the spotlight is run-of-the-mill for everyone, then someone needs to say something, and if that someone has to be me, then so be it. Though I should have known better than to rile up the thick headed CEGers and I should have kept my entire situation to myself. I realize there are people on these forums that don't like me without ever having met me, and before even reading a 1/10 of what I post. That's OK, cuz like I said, I get good laughs from most of it, and the rest just educates me on how other people feel or act about things.

I have had 5 speeding tickets during my 26 years of driving. I love to drive fast (especially when I am running late and in a hurry). The secret to driving fast and not getting caught is to blend in to a group of cars that are driving fast also. When I am stopped I just say "I am in a hurry because of problems and didn't notice how fast I was driving". The last ticket that I got was because I forgot my drivers license and had to go back home (100 miles to get my license). That made my schedule really close. After being stopped and getting a ticket I missed my flight but they put me on the next flight for no charge. When I got the ticket the policeman acted like I should be upset. I don't mind getting a ticket. I would never try to talk my way out of a ticket because I know I speed and if I get caught then I have to pay the price. I always go to court and if the policeman is not there I plead "NOT GUILTY". I plead not guilty because I don't always watch my speedometer and I don't always know how fast I am going so I am not lying by pleading not guilty. If the policeman was there I would plead "No contest" or "no lo contendre" and I would pay my fine. That way no points go on my driving record and my insurance prices remain low.

Yeah man I hear ya.
Our school is down this side street, like 1/2 mile. You turn onto the side street from a busier one and there is like 4 stop signs going down it before the school, I think mainly because it is all residental but anyways people do 40-50 all the time, blow stop signs, race and [censored] it is so crazy like 7:30am.
