Anybody that I have known that had a "manumatic" thought it was cool for a month, then stopped using it......

My ex-girlfriend's friend (female) has a Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe with the manumatic. She let me drive it just to show her how the thing works, cause she couldn't figure it out. Might I say it was rather worthless. I wanted stop using it by the time we made the 20 minute trip home. The shifts were slow and pointless. Leaving it in regular auto would actually improve performance IMHO. She tried driving it later and about killed herself trying to shift it getting off an exit ramp, but maybe its just her. Anyway, thats my $.02

For parts, maybe. You really only see those on cars that are approaching $100k, so who knows..
since when is an IS300 approaching $100k??
find a crashed IS300 and start your project damnit.
Does the IS300 have a "clutchless manual" or an "automatic that you can control" though? The only cars I can think of that have the "clutchless manual" are BMW M's, Ferraris and the like, and mayybeee (I don't remember) Mercedes AMG. However.. the "automatic that you can control" you can get on a Hyundai.

My left foot would feel lonely without a clutch pedal. Anyone else ever stomp down with both feet when you're driving an auto? I always do that, hit the brake with both feet, and stop waaaay too fast.

LOL I thought I was the only one. I almost snapped my girlfriend's neck the other day in her maxima. Instant dead stop from 35. Needless to say that will be the last time. Mr. car guy boyfriend jamming the brakes with his left foot for no reason. God I felt like a jackass.

Yeah, driving my dad's new forester (non-turbo ) i pulled out into traffic flooring it, and that four was just screaming, so I pegged the 'clutch', and pulled the shifter down, which just put it into first... almost got rear-ended.
