Nice milage outta those components!

My old boss just emailed me about his '70 chevy van. His brake line burst while he was pulling out of his drive way. He said, "I guess those things only last 34 years." He's got a good sense of humor, and a lot of luck!

I could never get over the number of old hulks still running around in NM. It's like the state where cars go to die but end up living another 20 yrs. Weird.

I believe the world record is some guy in Europe that ran a mid 60's Volvo coupe over 1,000,000 miles and he ended up getting a new car from Volvo. I believe it happened in the 90's sometime, so if we keep our fingers crossed, in another 6 years, our van will have a mill on it, what will get, a new Denali or what I'd like to know if that car had the original running gear in it and how long things lasted

You hit NM right on the nose! To be a little more accurate, most of the cars that come here to die end up with a nice primer coat and 13" lowrider wheels.

Roger - you should have gotten a Borla system for the van and tested out their warranty.

HA HA HA!! That's too funny.

My dad probably built that one. He was the plant manager at the Wentzville plant near St. Louis and that's what they build there - the vans and stuff.
Twenty years as a nuclear mechanic in the Navy and an ME degree once he got out - that's what GM did right.

Now owner of 0 SVT's. my web page

I put 78,000 miles on a 1993 gsxr750 4 years only oil changes and tires (4 chains and sprokets brake jobs) I lived in chicago not bike weather all year. I never ever had it apart and I spent most of that time 30+ over the speed limit! some one stole it!
