Yes, but is anyone considering that the tranny would need changed anyway...assuming he has an atx (he stated above that he wants the engine & tranny from the svt). So you'd still have the work & parts/wiring involved in the swap for the tranny PLUS the turbo...the zetec community is so in need of a hero
turbo+atx=useless
Parts cars are cheap & plentiful for the swap...$.02

I am not trying to make my tour a big horsepower machine. If I wanted that then I would buy a mustang. I simply want more go when I hit the gas. And no I don't want to buy another tour with a v6, mine is paid for and in excellent shape so it would be much cheaper to swap in something else. Besides, I have gotten attached to it. Right now I am thinking maybe the Jackson Racing Supercharger. I have a source where I can get one for cheap.

I'd like to see you try a zetec to 3L swap
then maybe you could run a twin turbo setup to top it off

Better tell turbo tom to get that lentech built atx outta his 500hp focus. A properly built ATX can have its advantages on a very high HP car.
Also, anyone saying to do just a 3L into a zetec car is crazy. It would cost more than just turboing the zetec and net less power. If you're saying do a 3L and turbo, then you have a lotta money anyways and I guess you could probably do a 5L conversion, RWD, twin turbos, nitrous, etc. if you wanted to.

Jerry, you know I've been talking about this for a while. I will do my zetec to 3L swap. It'll be cheaper than buying another newer car, and I'll get to keep my baby. Think custom, not factory. I had a friend with a 350 in a chevette. 2 with 350s in blazers. Have a little faith.
God graced us with intelligence, let's use it.

I just don't see it being "cost effective"

roll your eyes...using a highly modified example while telling someone to bolt on a turbo are two completely different scenarios...you're not telling me sh#t
yes properly built is the key...once again getting into more $$$ & finding someone to do it reasonably, not just keeping the stocker & bolting on a turbo or sc
allow me to re-phrase...turbo+stock zetec+stock CD4E=useless

actually I'd think u'd have an easier chance going from regular zetec to svt zetec
thats something more reasonable to shoot for in my opinion
don't know how much an svt engine + tranny would run you though

Show me the turbo or SC that just bolts on to a contour zetec and you can have my car. Especially a contour zetec with atx. If you're getting a turbo than it'll be more than bolt on. Also if you're really making power, you'll be building up the zetec. You'll also be building up the tranny whether mtx or atx. And like I said, atx's with high power CAN have its advantages. Don't listen to me though,,, because you got the hook up with the bolt on turbo that doesn't require engine work to make huge amounts of power. And if you're not making huge amounts of power, than who cares what tranny you have. It'll still be slow compared to other turbo'd cars.

missing the whole point Listen to yourself...your telling this guy to get a turbo, but not telling him all the other (custom)work involved including $$$ to make it work & work well, otherwise yes, its a big waste of money...I said I have "the hook-up"??? No I said you guys are telling him to put a turbo on it, get it right... & parts cars are still plentiful & cheap...the svt motor on the other hand, who knows
