Head Unit - Based on ergonomics, good sound quality, and a history of reliability for me, Alpine.
Amplifier - I'd say Macintosh, but then I've never heard one in person. I've always been impressed by PPI's art series.
Sub Amp - For it's price the 1200.1 and 600.1 from JBL are very impressive
Components - I'll assemble my own, it's more interesting
Subwoofer - Lambda Acoustics PB. I have still not heard a better sounding driver, and given it's price that is almost scary.
Monitors - No TV in my car... driving...
As for stuff like wiring, knukonceptz.com is the only place I'll ever buy power cable again. 1/4 the price of most company's best stuff and for the most part it actually seems to be better quality

Head unit.. i'll agree! alpine is what's for me. component set, i'd like to make my own. Sub amp, JBL 1200.1, or Earthquake PH-D3 Sub, Lambda Acoustics PB, or SB.. perhaps a Stryke AV, or maybe an AL 1804. Component amplifier, Blaupunkt Class T amplifier, Knukonceptz wiring for everything else.
