I am a newbie to this site and a newbie Contour Sport owner. First off let me tell you I am a woman, so I need help...lol. My contour has the Duratec 2.5L V6 24 Valve DOHC motor. I LOVE the way it sounds. I just wish you could hear it through the exhaust. I went to Midas today and they told me they could put a new muffler on it and take out the resonator and put a straight pipe on for about $150 taxes included. What I am wanting to know is what kind of muffler would be good for my car. I just want to be able to hear that great sounding "growl" through the exhaust. But I don't want it to sound like those little kids and their Hondas. Also, should I have the resonator removed to acheive the growl sound? I am not looking to spend hundreds of dollars on the exhaust. If anyone could help me that would be great! Thanks!
