Two layers of laminated masonite would hold up really well and weigh less.

It's cool man!

Actually it's not that bad. As I said I can barely feel the difference, kinda like you have a person in the pass side. Actually it could have been about 100 pounds worse. I went to GREAT lengths to ensure to keep everything as light as possible and still get the results I wanted.

I'm in awe! That is some awsome effort that must pay huge dividends. Suddenly, my system seem quite pathetic, and I'm slightly motivated to start over. I so want your door panels...

Awesome System Design and Install!

Not sure about the "huge dividends" part yet...we'll see.

The door panels...yeah my most favorite creation still, even after the trunk. Just think, they turned out that way by mistake...funny how those things happen. The thing is I will be re-doing my door panels in the near future due to a better design that came up in my melon. It will look the same for the most part, just better built...something I learned after this install.

Thanks for the reply!!!

Christian

All that you have left to do is touch up aroung the openings for the trunklid arms. Sorry, but I see everything. I can only hope my install goes as well!

I'm a DETAIL FREAK and did think of that but hey, you were the first one to notice...or at least say something about it. wink

sooo...I asked my wife about the arms. I wasn't sure if I should cover them or not. She said not to because it'll look stock that way...like the felt I put there came with the car. I agreed, but wasn't sure at the time. Now I like it that way and think she was right. It looks better in person.

Thanks!!
